BeavEx Incorporated (“BeavEx”) announced today that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Tuchmann, will retire from his day-to-day responsibilities while continuing to serve the Company as board director, effective November 18, 2014.
Since founding the Company in 1989, Mr. Tuchmann has led BeavEx to become one of the nation’s leading providers of customized delivery solutions in the United States with over 600 employees, 4,000 independent contractor partners and 90 facilities across the country.
“When I brought on a partner to recapitalize BeavEx three years ago, it was anticipated that in time I could transition away from day-to-day operations and spend time focusing on broader strategic issues and certain outside interests,” said Tuchmann. “With Rich and team in place, I am glad to say that time is now here. The team has my full support and I look forward to both the continued growth of BeavEx and my ongoing role with the Company as both board member and a significant shareholder.”
Rich Boland, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, will expand his responsibilities and be named President. Boland joined BeavEx in January 2014, after successful careers at Iron Mountain and Pitney Bowes. “I look forward to focusing on our future strategy, in addition to my current operational responsibilities. BeavEx is well positioned to capitalize on a dynamic and rapidly expanding market. I appreciate Mark’s guidance and support to this point and I look forward to his strategic counsel and continued partnership going forward,” said Boland. Additionally, an executive committee will be formed which will consist of Boland, Doug Duskin, CFO, and Kirk Fleischer, Executive Vice President of Strategy.
